Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Chandler, Arizona is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.
Position Overview:
You’re more than just a team member behind the counter — you’re a leader, a problem-solver, and a key player in delivering unforgettable golf experiences. You’ll support all aspects of golf operations, mentor staff, connect with guests, and help drive an environment that reflects excellence, fun, and purpose. You set the tone, lead by example, and live out our Axioms and ACE Service Essentials by anticipating needs, creating connections, and elevating every guest experience.
Duties:
• Greet members and guests with energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism — you are a face of the golf operation.
• Assist with golfer check-in, tee time reservations, merchandise sales, and retail transactions using the POS system.
• Ensure the smooth flow of the tee sheet, monitor pace of play, and communicate effectively with player assistants and guest services.
• Respond to guest needs with urgency, empathy, and creative solutions — delivering “wow” moments whenever possible.
• Proactively promote Arcis memberships, lessons, and upcoming events with confidence and enthusiasm.
• Support the head golf professional in the daily management of all golf operations.
• Train, supervise, and motivate golf shop and outside services staff to deliver ACE-level service.
• Lead by example through a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork.
• Assist in scheduling, performance management, and day-to-day coordination of the golf operations team.
• Provide coaching and feedback to elevate staff performance and guest service delivery.
• Help plan, organize, and execute member events, corporate outings, and golf tournaments from start to finish.
• Support league play and golfer development programs, offering suggestions to enhance participation and engagement.
• Collaborate with the head golf professional on creative event formats, pairings, scoring, and guest communication.
• Ensure all events are well-run, professionally presented, and aligned with Arcis standards.
• Support private instruction, group clinics, and junior programming based on facility needs and personal qualifications.
• Build rapport with guests and help identify opportunities for lessons and player development.
• Support daily retail operations including merchandising, restocking, inventory management, and visual presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-friendly golf shop environment that reflects the quality of our brand.
• Follow opening and closing procedures with accuracy and accountability.
Requirements:
PGA associate level 1 or higher preferred.
2 years of college or equivalent work experience required.
Strong background in golf operations, retail, and customer service.
Passionate about the game of golf and committed to delivering memorable guest experiences.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
