Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Payroll Assistant. You will provide administrative and technical support to the payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work with multiple payroll systems, including PeopleSoft Payroll.

Job Description

• Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
• Enter and pay all wage garnishments accurately and on time.
• Ensure benefits deductions are correct and updated.
• Process property payroll transfer reports.
• Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy and maintain data integrity.
• Review and analyze retroactive pay calculations.
• Support year-end payroll activities (W-2s, reconciliations, reports).
• Provide support for leadership for payroll and accounting-related projects.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.

Skills Required

• 1+ years’ experience.
• Proficiency in PeopleSoft Payroll; experience with other payroll systems a plus.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, garnishment rules, and benefits deductions.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), QuickBooks and Pay Choice or Payroll Associates experience preferred.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Shift Time: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Pay Rate

• $33.00 per hour
