Job Title: Payroll Coordinator

Location: Everett, WA (Onsite)

Contract Duration: 5 Months

Pay Rate: $26/hr

Job Summary
We are looking for a Payroll Coordinator to help process payroll for about 950 employees. The role involves entering timesheet data, checking for errors, fixing discrepancies, and making sure employees are paid correctly and on time. You will also answer payroll-related questions from employees.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees.
• Enter and review timesheets and exception data.
• Check for errors, make corrections, and ensure accuracy.
• Answer employee questions about payroll.
• Handle payroll records, reports, and reconciliations.
• Work with HR/Benefits team on leaves, deductions, and adjustments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years payroll experience with payroll software.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of payroll rules and labor laws (FMLA, FLSA, etc.).
• Able to work Monday–Friday, with flexibility for deadlines.
• Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PeopleSoft, UKG, or Trapeze.
• Payroll experience in government, transit, or union workforce.
